Surfing 2024
An impressive 25 years since our first one. However, due to Covid it’s our 23rd visit.
34 Scouts and plenty of leaders together with an ex District Commissioner, who came to present some awards on the beach on Sunday afternoon.
Surfs Up were again impressed with the Scouts resilience with some fairly challenging surf conditions.

Scouts surf trip!
The scouts surf trip was all a massive adrenaline rush, from the ride up to the fabulous surfing. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect they still managed to make the trip the most enjoyable. It was an action-packed couple of days full of waves and (not so bright) sunshine.
We spent the first night setting up bedding and eating some delicious bacon sandwiches. As soon as the sun shone, we up and ready for the beach. The waves were incredible and gave an amazing effect on the group. The people teaching us were awesome and got us in the water straight away.
The second day was just as exhilarating. The camp was one of my favourite I’ve been to and its encouraged me to surf more as I enjoyed it so much.
