Surfing 2021

Friday 15th October to 17th October 

Covid and campsite closures couldn’t stop our annual jaunt down the M5 to sunny Cornwall. Over 20 years ago, 2 minibuses made the same arduous journey, just with different kids and many different adults.

The minibus tapes morphed into CDs but many of the tunes remain the same! 2 days turned into 3, 1 days surf (and a very wet cycle) turned into 2 days surf and thus expert surfers! Instructors from Surf’s Up have been consistently brilliant as has Waylon – who has been there pretty much from the start.

We’ve been rained on, hailed on, blown off course but sun has shone more times than we can be grateful for.

32 Scouts and plenty of Young Leaders and adults joined the fun this year. A mighty enjoyable weekend.
