Friday: Every one dropped there stuff of at the scout hut on time (with a<\/span><\/p>\n

few late comers e.g. Kit-Kat)<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday: We all met by the parish church hall ready to leave but a few<\/span><\/p>\n

of us had forgotten are lunch so we went to Tescos to buy some. When<\/span><\/p>\n

we finally arrived at our destination we had to set up camp in the<\/span><\/p>\n

pouring rain. Then we got settled into our tents that evening we went on<\/span><\/p>\n

a walk to find Pigs Bush we eventually found it thanks to Craig. (I think).<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday: We had scouts own and after that we did some orienteering.<\/span><\/p>\n

The girls team didn?t do very well because we didn?t really know how<\/span><\/p>\n

to use the compass. So we gave up and played volley ball.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the afternoon we went swimming and all the leaders were trying to do<\/span><\/p>\n

back flips.<\/span><\/p>\n

Monday: We went to the motor museum which we thought would be<\/span><\/p>\n

really boring but it didn’t turn out that bad. The best bit was either the<\/span><\/p>\n

monorail or the wheels ride.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tuesday: Morning we did THE MEGALITH. W<\/span><\/span>ell done everyone who got to<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

the top.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the afternoon first I did target shooting which was fun but Daisy you<\/span><\/p>\n

need to be more accurate. While we were doing this Craig decided to<\/span><\/p>\n

challenge Clive but it ended up Craig doing the leaders washing up for<\/span><\/p>\n

the rest of the week. Then we swapped over and we did high ropes (well<\/span><\/p>\n

done Fab for going to the top)<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday: we did mountain biking then rafting in the afternoon. The<\/span><\/p>\n

mountain biking wasn?t that bad but the rafting was just funny. Ray Kit-<\/span><\/p>\n

Kats shoe wasn?t in the re but while were trying to find her shoe<\/span><\/p>\n

Richard found a net.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday: Today Dan joined us to go to the Isle of Wight with us. When<\/span><\/p>\n

we got there we walked for about an hour to get to the beach we spent a<\/span><\/p>\n

couple of hour on the beach then headed back.<\/span><\/p>\n

Friday: Today we got woken up at 3:00 to sort our tent out because last<\/span><\/p>\n

night we had really heavy rain and most peoples tents got flooded so<\/span><\/p>\n

the leaders had to take a load of stuff to the laundrettes to be washed.<\/span><\/p>\n

They then met us at the swimming pool. Then in the afternoon we<\/span><\/p>\n

started to pack up.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saturday: We packed all the stuff up and headed back to Bristol.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n

The following is our <\/span>FIRST SUMMER CAMP 2005 REPORT<\/span><\/span>, being that this person<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

was not there is quite incredible, considering the accuracy of what went on…<\/span><\/p>\n

Ferny Crofts<\/span><\/p>\n

I didn’t actually go but, with a lot of research from the scout website I came up<\/span><\/p>\n

with this, because none of you are writing any reports!<\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday you all met up at 10am and left Bristol for ferny crofts. When you got<\/span><\/p>\n

there you explored the site and put up your tents e.t.c, and later on you had dinner.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Sunday, you got ready for the day activity and had breakfast, then you did<\/span><\/p>\n

some orienteering on site, which was fun, then you had lunch. After lunch, you went<\/span><\/p>\n

swimming at Applemore leisure centre, that was cool. When you got back you had<\/span><\/p>\n

dinner, and then did an evening activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the Monday, you had breakfast, then got ready for your visit to Bealieu Motor<\/span><\/p>\n

Museum. Bealieu was quite interesting and educational! you also went on a<\/span><\/p>\n

monorail, <\/span>which was exciting! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>The monorail took you around all the major parts.<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a playstation there so you all went on that and the James Bond thing!<\/span><\/p>\n

there was also a red bus thing and the adventure park, and a formula 1 thing. You<\/span><\/p>\n

thought it was going to be boring inside, but it was ok in the end. Then clive got<\/span><\/p>\n

lost!<\/span>*<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, you had breakfast and then went climbing which was cool, then after<\/span><\/p>\n

lunch, some of you went to the high ropes and <\/span>Craig bet clive that he wouldn’t do it,<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

and ended up doing all the washing up! <\/span>And the other group did the target shooting.<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

After lunch the groups swapped around.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, group one went to pick up the mountain bikes at 9am and went on<\/span><\/p>\n

them. While the other group did the raft building and most of you got wet and<\/span><\/p>\n

muddy! Then again you swapped after lunch.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Thursday you went on a boat trip to the isle of white and spent the day on the<\/span><\/p>\n

beach. It was a really hot day and you all went paddling and got <\/span>mike wet! <\/span><\/span>(Well<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

everyone got wet!) And there was a storm, which was really bad, and you all got<\/span><\/p>\n

washed out. (Haha!)<\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday, you went swimming again at Lymington Open Air Sea Pool and went<\/span><\/p>\n

shopping in the town<\/span>*<\/span><\/span>. Then went home after lunch to start packing up to go home.<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday you went home after <\/span>an exhausting week<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>, and got there at about<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

5pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ferny Croft<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In the summer holidays I went to Ferny Crofts in the New Forest for Scout<\/span><\/p>\n

Camp. It went very well. The tents had amazingly stupid names, Frank ‘n’<\/span><\/p>\n

Furter was one of the sleeping tent names. I was in Riff Raff. My Dining<\/span><\/p>\n

Shelter was Duey. On all the journeys we had to make more stops than we<\/span><\/p>\n

should of done.We did a wide range of activites that included Beaulieu Motor<\/span><\/p>\n

Museum, Raft Building and Orienteering. (Yes I did do my orienteering<\/span><\/p>\n

dance.) I really enjoyed it and <\/span>most of all I enjoyed the monsoon<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>. It was the<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

only week camp Ray had that nobody had to go to hospital. Ray said this<\/span><\/p>\n

himself. It was <\/span>fantasmagorical<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Summer Camp 2005<\/span><\/p>\n

Now what can I say about this year’s summer camp hhhmmmmm<\/span><\/p>\n

let me think?.. <\/span>IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST CAMPS EVER!!!!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

It was my last camp as a scout and like always the camp and the<\/span><\/p>\n

leaders didn’t disappoint!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

The camp started, great no delay to get on the mini bus or anything!<\/span><\/p>\n

Then after about a 2-3hr journey we arrived; and in true scout<\/span><\/p>\n

fashion it started raining! Of course we didn’t let that stop us we still<\/span><\/p>\n

managed to erect the tents (pun intended) and unload the van and<\/span><\/p>\n

the minibus’s, and of course as soon as we had finished it stopped<\/span><\/p>\n

raining!!! Then we explored the site!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

The next day (on Sun) we got up after a “good” nights sleep and did<\/span><\/p>\n

a morning worth of orienteering followed by an afternoon swim at<\/span><\/p>\n

Applemore Leisure Centre. Both were really good! <\/span>(And we got to<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

here a great story about a donkey down a hole at flag break!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

The next day (On Mon) we went to Bealieu Motor Museum for the<\/span><\/p>\n

day they had a load of really great stuff like a monorail, a James<\/span><\/p>\n

Bond experience, ps2 pod and famous cars. But I have to say the<\/span><\/p>\n

highlight of the day was seeing the car shaped like oooohhhh you?ll<\/span><\/p>\n

never guess?? AN ORANGE!!! Yep that?s right an orange I even<\/span><\/p>\n

got a pic!<\/span><\/p>\n

Next day (On Tues) we did climbing on <\/span>The Megalith <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>DUM<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

DUM DUUUMM!!! This was really really good! Then we did the high<\/span><\/p>\n

ropes (leap of faith and Elvis Bridge) and shooting which<\/span><\/p>\n

surprisingly enough I didn?t do to badly at! Compared to Daisy at<\/span><\/p>\n

least!!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

The next day (On Wed) we did mountain biking we went from our<\/span><\/p>\n

campsite to Lyndhurst (which has a great sweet shop) and back<\/span><\/p>\n

which was very good. Then in the afternoon we ( Oh yeah all the<\/span><\/p>\n

we’s so far in my story stand for my group J just thought I would<\/span><\/p>\n

clear that up) went raft building which we all failed miserably at and<\/span><\/p>\n

Katherine lost her shoe in the lake! But at least I found a cool net!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Then that evening I started to carve my cool tent peg which earned<\/span><\/p>\n

me a biscuit! (The finished tent peg is at the hut if anyone wants to<\/span><\/p>\n

see itJ) Oh yeah and Dan arrived??. Almost forgot!<\/span><\/p>\n

The next day (On Thurs) we went to the Isle of White for the day<\/span><\/p>\n

when we arrived on the island we hiked for 1hr and 30mins to a<\/span><\/p>\n

beach swam and stayed there for a bit and then hiked back to<\/span><\/p>\n

where the ferry was picking us up. This was finished by a campfire,<\/span><\/p>\n

it was a really great day!!!! Apart from the night where we had a<\/span><\/p>\n

storm and everyone got washed out apart from our tent thanks to<\/span><\/p>\n

mine and Finlay’s quick thinking! Can you guess what it was we did<\/span><\/p>\n

we made a dam out of our old underwear!!!!!!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Next day (On Fri) we were going to go to an open air swimming<\/span><\/p>\n

pool but because of the weather we went to an inside one instead<\/span><\/p>\n

phew!!!!! J When we got back we then started packing up for the<\/span><\/p>\n

journey home the next day!<\/span><\/p>\n

After an amazing week of activities and my last camp as a scout I<\/span><\/p>\n

was given 2 prizes a glass mug and a mouse mat for being me!!!!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

We left for home and arrived there about half four!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

All in all it was my best camp ever! <\/span>3 cheers for the leaders hip<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

hip hooray, hip hip hooray, hip hip hooray and one for luck hip<\/span><\/p>\n

hip hooray <\/span>and that?s from me to say thanks for making my time<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

as a scout the best it could be J<\/span><\/p>\n

SATURDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

Ferny Crofts was brill. We all had lots of fun (I think).On Saturday we arrived<\/span><\/p>\n

outside the church hall, said our goodbyes and left in the minibuses.We drove<\/span><\/p>\n

for 4 hours and when we arrived it was raining a bit. So everyone quickly put<\/span><\/p>\n

up the tents and then cooked the evening meal. Afterwards we went on a<\/span><\/p>\n

walk and played German spotlight in the bushes (pig bush) and an<\/span><\/p>\n

unmentionable thing happened which I won?t say ?????<\/span><\/p>\n

SUNDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

We had breakfast then Scouts Own. We spent the morning orienteering and<\/span><\/p>\n

my team did hopelessly <\/span>but we did find lots of rope for Ray and the group.<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

In the evening we went swimming where once again we ruff and tumbled with<\/span><\/p>\n

the leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

MONDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

We went to Bealieu motor museum. We had a ride on the monorail and<\/span><\/p>\n

visited dipsticks playground where an old man told me to get out of one of the<\/span><\/p>\n

baby cars. 3 times Me, Oran, Craig, Joe and Fabian tried to get on the bus<\/span><\/p>\n

without a leader but for some strange reason, nobody would let us on. The<\/span><\/p>\n

ps2 pod <\/span>then went into Lyndhurst to the <\/span><\/span><\/span>best sweet shop in the world<\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

TUESDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

We did climbing followed by height activities where we all challenged James<\/span><\/p>\n

O to jump the furthest. he tried his best and still missed ha ha ha, then it was<\/span><\/p>\n

the elvis. Next, we had a go at shooting and on the second round we shot<\/span><\/p>\n

little metal pans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shame on Craig who lost the bet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

WEDNESDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

We built rafts but my first attempt at one wasn’t too successful as it broke up<\/span><\/p>\n

so I used a barrel instead as a horse and managed to stay dry. In the<\/span><\/p>\n

afternoon, it was mountain biking. Due to a technical fault by the bike, it<\/span><\/p>\n

flipped me over the handlebars and cut up my hands and arm. Out of<\/span><\/p>\n

nowhere, <\/span>the forest police appeared <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>as they thought we were lost and gave<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

us a map to follow to get back to camp.<\/span><\/p>\n

THURSDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

We went to the Isle of Wight where we met up with Dan. On getting off the<\/span><\/p>\n

ferry, we had to hike for over 2 hours to reach the beach although <\/span>for some<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

strange reason, the return trip was much quicker<\/span>. In the evening we had a<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

campfire where Dan lead the songs, it was great fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

FRIDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

We got woken at <\/span>the dreaded time of 3:00 am <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>because all the tents had<\/span> <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

flooded due to the torrential rain and thunder storms. Later on that morning, a<\/span><\/p>\n

trip to the launderette was necessary to dry all the wet clothes etc. After<\/span><\/p>\n

lunch, we went swimming. The pool had a great slide. In the changing rooms<\/span><\/p>\n

Me and C***** got the key and lock off the locker ( C***** was the one who<\/span><\/p>\n

actually broke it off ). I would like to point out that this was not just an act of<\/span><\/p>\n

vandalism but our attempt to show the staff how substandard their equipment<\/span><\/p>\n

and security was !!!!!! Mike, took our souvenirs back as evidence.<\/span><\/p>\n

SATURDAY<\/span><\/p>\n

We packed up our bags and left for home but Fabian didn’t enjoy the journey<\/span><\/p>\n

as he was really ill. We got back to the scout hut, hung the tents to dry and<\/span><\/p>\n

then waited for our parents to collect us.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to all the leaders for making this camp possible<\/span><\/p>\n

and Eurojam was equivalently as good for totally<\/span><\/p>\n

different reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n
