Malta 2013<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

St John’s Co Cathedral & Grand Master’s Palace<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Maltese museums don’t seem to know how to handle large groups visiting their wonders. St John’s Co Cathedral is opulent and magnificent but due to enormous crowds it’s dificult to fully appreciate. Upon arrival we go straight through to the groups line\u00a0but their\u00a0attitude of just turn up means you arrive the same time as other large groups, all of whom seem to want to wander around together with one guide. This is what was expected of us, imagine! 40 people all standing in one area listening to an audio guide for several minutes controlled by one bewildered Scout leader… <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00a0Wasn’t going to happen, those under 12 weren’t even deemed capable of listening to an audio guide!!<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00a0Still, the Cathedral was appreciated and opinions formed. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Palace was a whole new experience. A lack of signage to tell you what each room was about and an armoury tha housed an incredible collection of armour, interesting if you like armour. Exceedingly dull if you don’t! The stone cannon balls were duly noted by one Scout as being surely unique in cannon ball history. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00a0More push buttons and\u00a0LEDs needed methinks(!) <\/span><\/p>\n
