Fowey Fireworks and Red Arrows Display
Fireworks need a good setting and Fowey harbour was pretty impressive. Whilst most of the fireworks lacked real ‘umph’ the location made up for it. There was a fantastic echo from the hills over Fowey as were the reflections in the windows and Fowey harbour. The ‘short stroll’ from the campsite down into Bodinnick and over to Fowey was worth the while after all! It was lucky we had not planned a longer walk, we neglected to consider that everything in Cornwall either goes extreme up or extreme down.
Eden Project
In an unusual twist it was the Scouts who knew more about The Eden Project than the leaders. Most has visited before, some many times before; however the responses afterwards were entirely favourable. Considering it’s an oversize greenhouse full of plants that’s quite remarkable.
