London 2012
Judo
.For the 6 that went Judo was a real treat, sat right in the back row next to a friendly dutch couple we cheered and hollered our way through the morning celebrating Dutch and British success alike. That was until the British girl Gemma Gibbons walked out for her quarter final fight, not only did the crowd go delirious but following her was the female Dutch competitor, ok, could get awkward.
Not content with a superb Judo match we went all out to drown our new Dutch friends.
We won.
And Gemma went on to win Olympic Silver.

Wrestling
…
We were fortunate to walk in on two gold medal bouts for the Greco Roman wrestling. The incredibly confusing repechage rounds were first but to witness a gold medal winner and the following medal ceremony was a privilege. Greco Roman wrestling itself was great fun to watch, fast, aggressive and a referee that was quick to tell the competitors off if they were not doing enough. On top of this was a bag of coloured balls and a crouch position in the last 30 seconds of the round that was truly mind boggling.

We loved the difference in size of the two trainers
