Campsite activities
We maxed out on what Silver Cross had to offer.
Gorge Scrambling
We donned our wetsuits and dived into the local river under the watchful eye of the lovely people at Quest Adventures. The Scouts complained about the changing rooms, they had no roof… let’s face it – it was a car park in the middle of no-where, they were lucky to get anything!! (Are they not use to our yearly trips to Polzeath!?)
Skiing
Where else but Wales can you ski in the morning and pop down to the beach for the afternoon!? The lovely Pembury Country Park was our destination for Thursday. Dry slope skiing in the morning and an exceptionally wet and windswept beach for lunch (and a game of cricket). A classic British summer holiday!
Mumbles
The last night, after taking down a tonne of canvas we popped down into the Mumbles for fish and chips (a mission in itself, due to all the dietary requirements!). However, the sunset over the Mumbles provided a stunning backdrop for investing our youngest Scout.
