An extract from a diary, written by one of the Scouts:

Today, we went to the Concorde Urban Project!! We didn’t have to leave until 11:30. Because it was Sunday, we tried to go to the chapel, but the weird yoga people were in there. So, instead we went a little way into the woods and it was really calm and peaceful. It was sooo good!

After, we packed our bags and headed to the Concorde Urban Project. We had to queue for an hour and a half to get in.

I was really sad as I missed Sky Brown skateboarding. We walked around for a bit and soaked up the atmosphere.

There were no events on, but It was still really cool.

Wow! This roller coaster Olympic Paris train just keeps on rolling and a rocking!

So many people are absolutely buzzing and bouncing off the suburbs of the French capital.

Our new Wednesday and Friday Scouts were invested outside the glass pyramid at the Louvre.

Horfield school kids met their class buddy at the same time. How’s that for coincidence!

Joe and Evie were awarded their Senior Patrol Leader stripes, again outside the Louvre, in Paris, during the Olympics.

Janis met the Latvian basketball team in the Concorde Urban Project. He’s now happy for life!

Barney (and others) got to see Sky Brown practising for her event on Tuesday. To top that he shouted out to her at the end and received a wave. Someone’s not sleeping tonight!

We saw a Team GB gold medalist outside the Louvre. Sadly, no meet up or photo.

Plenty, upon plenty of fabulous photos with stunning French backdrops.

One leader found a gluten free Parisian bakery. She been quietly in heaven for the whole train journey home.

In short, a simply stunning day.
