Woodhouse Assault Course 2017
…if there is one difference between Cubs on camp in September and Scouts in June, is that Scouts need absolutely no encouragement whatsoever. Many are on payback towards the leaders from those traumatic Cub camp days, others it’s a release from exams and school days.
Bring on the mud!
The words of The Yetties sort of sum it up rather well:
The cats and the dogs stank to high kingdom come,
And the kiddies, browned off, ran home screaming to Mum.
The trail of sheer havoc were terrible grim,
One open car were filled up to the brim.Fling it here, Fling it there,
If you’re standing by then you’ll all get your share.
In other words stand well clear when Scouts get hold of Woodhouse slop! Still, it was all good natured and enjoyable, everyone were very good sports – we even got the Wednesday leader, (but not well enough…)
