Summer Camp 2005
Bealieu Motor Museum…
Bealieu was far more impressive than first impressions and leaflets led us to believe. After booking in a trip in a monorail perched, nay balanced,
on long poles followed. This took you round all the major parts and gave you a taster of where to go next. Most Scouts disppeared into the PlayStation
Dome or the James Bond exhibition. Others enjoyed the red bus thing in the adventure playground. Certain leaders were found hanging around the
Formula 1 section for rather long and boring periods of time.
Aside from the Motor Museum and overpriced cups of tea in the cafe the Palace was stunning. Scouts being Scouts avoided this part, but some were
dragged inside and ended up quite impressed. After locally made icecream, and a trip into the best toliets you’ve ever seen, Clive got lost in the
Bealieu Abbey section. He was the only one that did, obviously the most cultural Leader on camp.
