“Plants, innit”
A stupidly early sea swim, a briochey breakfast to go, and a minibus ride later, we arrived in stonking time at the Eden project. The first stop was the on-site activity centre, where we were booked in to zip wire across the whole site. A stunning ride which took in both biomes, along with all the outdoor botanical wonders. It was great to see so many different plants, such as erm… the pink ones…? Much fun was had trying to guess what the cryptic weight stickers they gave us meant – guess who was a B26?
We spend the rest of the day exploring the Eden Project from the ground, where I spent time exploring the tea shop, followed by the ice cream stall. There was also a Mars experience thingy going on, that was out of this world! We saw some spiky plants, furry plants, edible plants, green plants, tropical plants, and even the odd blue plant! It was great to be transported all over the world within the space of a few hundred metres, enjoying some of the 4,500 different species of plants the project had to offer – a treemendous day had by all!
