Malta 2013
.Around the Campsite
Perhaps a little rugged, but let’s face it, compared to a lot of places we’ve stayed in Britain this campsite was the Ritz. Excellently located for what we wanted, close to Valletta, beach 10 seconds walk down the road (complete with ice cream and fast food van), and great facilities onsite.
A large, air-conditioned, hall (at least it was with the doors open and fans on) Scouting memorabilia adorned over the walls. Well resourced kitchen, apart from lack of useful utensils, try cutting meat with the side of a spatula! Toilets were clean and tidy, just a lack of water, back to the days of throwing a bucket of water down it – amazing how much water it takes!
The showers were fabulous, pretty much the only way to cool down, except as water is metered we had to be cautious about wasting water. Oh dear, we did try exeptionally hard though…
Sleeping arrangements included two dormitory rooms and a smattering of tents under the trees.
Our only complaint is the lack of any comfortable seating!
